Fear has its place in the world, but the problem is that it can show up whenever it wants to preventing us from pursuing greatness. We don’t want to live small or less than what You’ve called us to just because we didn’t have the audacity to swallow our fears and do the thing, anyway.
We don’t want to live a life full of regrets and what ifs. When it is all over and You ask us what have we done with our gifts, we want to make You proud. We want to have used our gifts to bless others and to provide for ourselves. But most important to give You all the honor and glory.
So Lord, we ask that You give us the courage you gave David when he had to fight Goliath, and help us slay our fears so we can be more than conquerors, through Jesus Christ who is our strength.
In Jesus's name, amen.
