Do You hear the cries of Your people?
Oh sorry Lord, first I want to say thank you for waking me up this morning. In my right mind, with my health and the breath You gave me. I am grateful for another day.
I am also mourning for those who did not have another chance today. There are countless names, some we know and some we do not. There are family members who are counting their loss and trying to make sense of it all.
Help us lean not on our own understanding but to acknowledge You to guide us with wisdom and truth. This is going to take faith in its truest form. So, with no evidence seen that victory is ours, I request that You help us with our unbelief. Remind us You are our God, and we are Your people, and that You know about the plans You have for us.
This year, having faith has been challenging, but even more necessary. Don’t allow us to become so dishearten that we lose our fight, and our belief in You and Your process. Help us cry out and spear not for justice. Help us stand on Your promises during these painful moments, and as believers help us speak Your word in every situation. Believing that Your word can’t come back to You void, but it has to accomplish what You send it to do.
So we humble ourselves to You, saying thank You for the opportunity to know hope through You.
In Jesus's name, amen.
